Well, my stupid computer finally bit the dust. I asked Levi if I could take the darn thing outside and beat it with a baseball bat all office space style, but he advised that I might hurt myself. Sarcastic eyeroll. So, I am writing this post on my phone which is a major pain in the rear. And of course now that my computer is shot I seem to have time for and inspiration for posts. I have about 8 swimming around in my head.
I hope to have a new one soon, but Levi is a deep thinker and is taking his time making his decision on a new computer. It doesn't help that we disagree on the choices so I think he is doing what he should and weighing the options carefully. I have expressed my concerns and am awaiting his decision, but let's hope I can keep my impatient, bossy, snarky side calm, cool, and collected cause she is close to losing her $!&?.
Patience is a virtue...blah, blah, blah. I know, I know. I am on the first week of a yeast free, sugar free diet for health reasons (that is a whole other post) and I think I am having sugar withdrawals which is making me especially grumpy. I am a fun person to be around right now let me tell you. Let's hope that Levi makes his decision soon, shall we:)
having done a no sugar...no everything..."diet" I understand the feeling of withdrawal as your body lets go of toxins...it will get better...I want to do the same but right now I have too much on my plate that I can't afford to be grumpy on top it :-) I hope all is well and hope you find a computer soon - in this day and age it is hard to be without... Hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks Terps! How long did your symptoms last?
DeleteI've done it a few times...sometimes just giving up the sugar...other times giving up dairy, gluten, and a variety of other ingredients...each with different reactions...but usually the initial drop goes away after the second week...you just have to be extra gentle with yourself...feel free to email me for support :-) I may join you next week once I can focus on other things...
DeleteOh man! Sounds like good times at your house ;) I will be praying for Levi......sounds like he is going to need it. Lol! Good luck with your diet. I keep thinking I need to give up diet pop. Ryan has offered to help encourage me..... I politely declined ;)
ReplyDeleteLol! I would agree with your decision...I have all kinds of puns for you on that one:)
ReplyDeleteIf a Mac is a possibility I would definitely say go for it. I'm never heard anyone changing from a Mac back to a PC and they do last well. As for being grumpy I think Nick might tell you that's my natural state this time of year. Good luck and I'll be praying for both of you.
ReplyDeleteHe wants a Mac but I am afraid it is out of our budget for the time being but we need a computer now...ugh, I know, May stinks...we are just so crazy busy!
DeleteSorry your computer died Bea...hope Levi makes a decision soon. Be gentle on yourself with your diet...I agree with Lucy...feeling a bit sorry for Levi. Hope everything calms down soon.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings...

:) I just can't understand why it takes him sooooooo long! Ugh!
DeleteIt is so difficult not to have a working computer these days, I feel for you.
ReplyDeleteI toy with the idea of giving up diet cola. If it is ever absolutely proven that diet cola does contribute to gaining weight or difficulty in losing weight I will be so upset. Wishing you strength on the diet.
Take care,
Meg
I gave up diet soda and although I didn't lose weight, I noticed a lot less digestive and urinary issues. Was tough at first but whenever I had a sip it wasn't worth it. It made me feel badly:( I still have my coffee and when I am done with this yeast free restrictive part of my diet I will enjoy my wine again:) gotta have a couple of vices, right?
DeleteMine has been making funny sounds on start up...it's making me very, very nervous b/c I don't think I could manage with my phone.
ReplyDeleteI hope this week goes as quickly as possible and that Levi gets moving!
Yikes...hope it holds out for you!!
DeleteThanks for the good vibes:)
Oh Bea I am so with you! Mine died a while back and we still haven't replaced it yet. I got a tablet in the meantime and am reading and commenting on that but I find it too difficult to try and write a post. I don't know how you did this from your phone!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a replacement soon.
Hugs
Roz
You too Roz! Being without a computer stinks.
DeleteHad to smile at your post, Bea. I am in the same predicament, give or take a few slow pixels. Dan is the same as Levi and I cannot get a decision out of him. I would love to know what you finally end up with. I can't decide whether a PC or a laptop would be best. What are you leaning towards?

I think we are going to get a laptop. Our argument is Mac or windows. I wouldn't mind a Mac other than the price tag. We would have to finance where as if we bought a 3-400 dollar windows laptop then we could pay cash. He has wanted a Mac forever. I will let you all know. Good luck with your decision!!
